Young Ukraine (2016)

photography / postcards

Two years after the Maidan Revolution and Russia’s invasion of Crimea, I traveled through Ukraine with Dutch-Ukranian writer Lisa Weeda to explore the hopes, fears, and aspirations of the post-Soviet generation. We focused on how young Ukrainians perceive East-West relations, their identity within Europe, and the future they envision amidst ongoing political and cultural change.

This project was in collaboration with Lisa Weeda, who wrote the chapbook De Penen van Petrovski published by Wintertuin
